Blind Confusion

It's funny how we let the little details in life get to us. Recently I was extremely overwhelmed by a bunch of minor details. School was pressing, money is tight, and my fiance and I are in the process of planning our wedding. All I could think about during the past couple of weeks was that I didn't have enough time or resources to get through it all. In the back of my mind I knew that eventually things would work itself out, and with a little time...life goes on.But even with this knowledge I still was in a sense of fulfilling my duties immediately. As the weeks went on one after another the pressures started to dissipate. Until today. I found myself at peace with my current situation and a sort of accomplishment for living though these trouble times. I just find it funny how in the mix of things we get so caught up in all the details and are sometimes blind to the bigger picture. It's a vicious cycle that we all find ourselves in at some point or another. So a word of advice, hopefully I'll follow this one too. "Take it all one step at a time, yes it is important to set goals and it feels good to accomplish these goals in a timely manner but the most important thing is to experience life as it happens, if you are too concerned with the future, then it seems that the present will only pass you by."

No time like the present!

Alright so here we go, lots to do, never enough time!
What exactly am I talking about....Well that depends on who you are. Perception is everything, and nothing! My own perceptions tell me that everything is fine, yes, but still much has to be done about everything that isn't. in the upcoming weeks i have much to do.... 2 group projects, 2 essays, 1 test next week, 3 tests the following week, then finals the following 2 weeks after that.

Alright now lets slow down...
As it seems I do have a lot on my mind right now, but there are some good things. My relationship with my fiance is great. My relationship with my parents are great. And I'm learning new and exciting things everyday. Things that are going to help my perfect dream come to life. Just as I always pictured my life, or as I should now say "our" life. Everything takes time, something that I know all too well... as I am always waiting, for the right moment, the right time to act. Maximizing my time and efforts to coincide with both MY wants and needs and the wants and needs of others.

As the title suggests, I'm attempting to make some changes.... not sure of what exactly they are yet. But just know that something big is coming, and the time to start noticing the opportunities in front of me is now.

Hectic Times at UTSA

OMG, I have so much stuff to do right now, its unnerving. School is really taking its toll right now, so let me break it down for you. In case studies, I have a presentation on Thursday, a presentation that my group and I have been working on for about a month. I work well in groups, I always do my part, sometimes a little more than expected but that's okay, I'm comfortable with that. In inquiry we've just been placed in groups for our final group project. everyone seems to be okay, except Moskowitz revealed that in each group there were people from each distribution of the class, so 1 from the top of the class( pretty sure its me) a few from the middle , and one from the bottom part. this concerns me only because I do not want to be pushed into doing most of the work to pick up the slack, and I refuse to settle for a lower grade. We'll have to see how this all pans out in the group sessions to come and the final weeks of class.  In my other classes everything seems to be going well at least so far. I know I'm making 3 A;s for sure, possibly an A or B, and then either a B or a C.

More to Come.

Plans, Plans, Plans

oh how they never go as planned? lol i mean why can't simple things be done in a simple way? i suppose it is too much to ask for; having both the brains enough to compile a plan, and then the capacity to see it through! oh well lets talk about what can be done? i enjoy working with outlines and diagrams. they are easier for me to work with and explain to others should i decide to include someone in one of my master schemes. when using the outline method i tend to be very specific. which now looking back at all the plans that went wrong might be a reason for some of them not being completed. i supposed it would be safe to say that not everything can be definite when dealing with the abilities of others. Asking too much of someone can certainly put a damper on your finished product, assuming that the process was actually completed.

Quality. i need quality, i give quality, but i don't always receive quality. why is it that everyone is still on the same page, the same page that says treat me well, and you shall be treated how i think you should. i come across this everywhere. either in service industries, in day to day consumer-merchant dealings, with new products, and in personal communications. more to come.

Auto Repair Day

Welcome back! So I've had an interesting day today! Went to court this morning for a ticket, then went to try and get my brakes done @ Goodyear. Although very personable and friendly, the price was ridiculous. So I thought there has got to be another way! After speaking with my dad, I finally headed over to a place I've been curious about for a while. It's called "Bring Your Own Parts.Com"(BYOP). A very cool concept. No over priced parts! This is extremely consumer conscious and a benchmark on how quality service and innovation of service will affect the market for the auto repair process in the future, for me at least, hopefully you too! Usually at an auto repair shop you have no option to buy another type, brand, or quantity. The only option you do have is to either fork over the bucks or go somewhere else. At BYOP, you can buy your parts from whichever vendor you please, either down the road, online, or from a salvage yard, then just bring 'em in and all you pay the shop(BYOP) is the labor costs, which in my opinion are pretty reasonable.

To Sum it up:
So CHEAP PARTS+CHEAP LABOR+GREAT SERVICE=SATISFIED CUSTOMER

Welcome to the New World.

I'm talking technology, I'm talking networking, I'm talking Social Media. I swear I'm in love. It brings the connectivity of everything I'm interested in and delivers it to my front door. With so many different applications, sites and ways to connect, if you're not online, you're not in the loop. So get a move on and join our social expansion, bringing technology into the lives of the people in very simple and interesting ways.

It's amazing how even some of these networking sites have enabled a past generation the access to communicate with the new generation on the same playing field. Could you have imagined this 20 yrs ago? how about 10? Me either, but it's here and it's continuing to grow.

Companies around the world are also jumping on board this phenomena. Searching the "chatter" is key for businesses trying to utilize the networking sites mass appeal and community driven user-generated content.

Every industry now has a lot of influence now amongst their consumers, it's just all about how you create your image in the eye of the public (who is now everywhere and can see, hear and read about everything) and how you manage you relationships through these different channels.

Bottom line this is an exciting time for everyone. Both the capable and incapable, of writing a letter or typing an email. For Instance, on Twitter you are limited to 140 characters to get your message across. Which means make it short and sweet, but at the same time get it in their face and to the point.

Enough of my rant... happy networking!
